Q1: How were you able to cry through the whole movie?
MEW: It was tough! I struggled a lot with the idea of crying all the time because I didn't know if it would work in a horror film. I talked a lot to Jim about it and every time we were back to the scene I would ask if he was sure if I should be crying. We'd then try it without crying and realize that my character really would be crying if this happened. I had to just go for it and every day think about people close to me dying and bad things so I had to go into a pretty depressed state.

Q2: Did you use fake tears?
MEW: No, I never did.

Q3: Kim Basinger would listen to sad music before a take. Did you do that?
MEW: Yes, that's exactly what I did. A girl was doing a behind the scenes documentary of this and I showed her all the sad songs I was using. I do that any time I have to cry.

MEW: Different stuff that brings up different mem...
