Q1: You haven't done a documentary before?
SP: I haven't. I'm not an authority at all because I don't see enough of them, but I see the ones that everybody knows like Michael Moore and Ken Burns and those people. I don't consider myself a documentarian, which is one of the reasons I hesitated to do this. Also the fact that I'm not an expert on architecture either.

Q2: How was the learning curve working with no script?
SP: When I do a feature I know exactly what I'm going to do, but with a documentary I have no idea. You have to understand that you can't have a script for a documentary. There isn't a script so you know this is all going to be made in the editing. I'm going to go out and get as much clay as I can and then model it after everybody is gone.

Q3: Do you like that concept on a feature film?
SP: Yes, I like the loose and freer nature of working this way. I wish I could translate that into the fiction world, but I don'...
