Q1: Did you purposely choose an atypical role this time?
KC: I guess you could say the role, the movie, I think, runs parallel to everything I've chosen in the sense that I think it's an original movie so on that end I find it really familiar territory. I didn't know how it was going to end. I was engaged by who the personalities were. It just happens to be in that kind of vulgar arena. But out of that we used a sense of humor. I think we were able to draw a level of understanding, almost a compassion if you will, or empathy may be a better word. And I thought that was a pretty sharp edge the writers stuck to. I thought they pulled it off.

Q2: There were times I was rooting for your character?
KC: Yes, see how sick you are? (laughs) I felt that. I felt a kinship with the audience. When I decide to make a movie it's not that I'm going out there making a valentine that I don't think anybody else is going to understand. Your mom may not like it or ...
