Q1: Is your relationship with your father and son similar to this? Did you identify with that aspect of this?
HE: Yeah. Now I have two sons and one daughter.
KA: Likewise. I don't have any sons, but I have one father. In Egypt it's baba. So he's my Baba. That's the way we say it.
Q2: Did you both know about this story before you audition for these roles?
HE: Yeah, I had auditioned in Kabul for Marc Forster, but before they called me I had read the book - a few months before they called me. So I knew the book very well.
Q3: And what were your thoughts about it?
HE: I loved the book. That was the reason when they called me for this movie I was surprised because I had known the book. I was very surprised. I said that to Marc and that I'm not physically the same as the character in the book. He told me not to worry.
KA: He came with a dossier for the pictures and other Iranian actors he thought would be better than...
