Q1: When you read the script, what made you attracted to it?
UT: You know, he wrote it beautifully. I don't know how many scripts – I'm sure you all as entertainment journalists watch every movie, I don't know if you've read every movie. But there's a great difference between – when you pick up a script and you open it, you can tell immediately if it's your typical studio stock kind of – something derivative, and from the word one, from the beginning of the stage direction of the screenplay you just could tell it was a fresh and original voice. Someone writing from their heart.
Q2: "Fresh and original voice" [Max Winkler] was just sitting here and used the expression talking about the relationship, the older woman, and I thought, "Ooh." Uma's not in the room; should we actually use that?
